On this thread, I thought we could write what curiousities that happen in our lives, that remind you guys of AmourShipping.

I'll start:

Today I found the instruction booklet in Greek for a calculator. The brand... Canon.

How does this relate to Amour? Kalos is Greek for beauty.

Now that I think about it, I briefly saw a heart shaped mirror in a dollar store.

Amour = Love = Heart
Mirror is self explanatory.

Reminds me of M. Amourshipping

You know those Coca-Cola bottles that say Share a Coke with __________ ? Well, the cans say the same thing, except the name is replaced with something more generic like "friend" or "mom". I drank from a can with "Share a Coke with your love". And since I live in Canada, the french version said "Amour".

I was at an IHOP the other day, and my SO pointed out that it advertised that the french toast was "Amour at first bite".

I died.

So, apparently, there is this girl that lives near me that posted an image of her new addiction.

Macarrons.

I thought "Is this for real?"

Ah..the Nissan Serena. LOL. Anyway, I went out for groceries shopping, and I saw a restaurant called Restaurant Amour.

In the span of 24 hours, the word "serena" appeared to me in a non-Pokémon way 4 times. First in a subtitle, then on Facebook, relating to Serena Williams, then on the news, then on a book.
I should learn if this phenomenon has a name...

Well I managed to trade a Tentacruel for a Charmander with a person named Serena using the GTS

5 THINGS THAT REMINDED ME OF AMOURSHIPPING

1. Serena, the movie starring Jennifer Lawrence.
2. In Diary of a Wimpy Kid 7, the theme of a prom is "Midnight in Paris" and the mock cafe is named "Cafe Amour"
3. Enemy, film starring Jake Gyllenhaal, an erotic thriller about a teacher who meets an EXACT copy of himself. (ya, go back to the Miramour thing for a reference)
4. Arsenal Football Club, Arsenal run by French manager Arsene Wenger with French players like Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny, erc. Amourshipping is French in tone... Plus they both start with an A. (Chelsea fan, btw)
5. Eating macaroons as a snack while visiting down in NYC.

Anyway, there's this new girl in my class. Her name is Serena.

I saw a guy and a girl holding hands that were wearing hats similar to Ash and Serena

The name of this phenomenon is synchronicity...
It seems we'll be seeing more and more of this...

It's in our minds. These things were always around us, but we've started to notice them because they've suddenly started to mean something to us.

As for myself, I recently dreamt about my girl wearing Serena's hat, and me wearing Satoshi's cap. The rest of the events will not be mentioned due to being fit for my current fic's plot.

True, amazingly true, I didn't think we'd become the most hated people in the shipping community... Back to the drawing board...
