(SPOILERS WILL FOLLOW)
MAJOR MIRROR VERSE CHARACTERS:
Kao/Professor Oak: A mad scientist who took on the identity of "Professor Oak", he conducts experiments on starter Pokemon to give to newbie trainers. He got Sycamore to experiment on Kalos starters with Hidden Abilities, but once Ash, Clemont and Bonnie stopped him, Kao informed Delia of Ash's current whereabouts.
Delia: An abusive, hateful mother who isn't happy with anything her son does. She and her Mr. Mime worked together to ensure that his life was as miserable as possible. It looked like Ash was out of her grasp forever, but then Kao told her everything she needed to know...
Ash Ketchum: You can't be a main character without some recklessness, right? Somehow, Ash managed to pull it off. He is quite timid, and gets discouraged easily. He is prone to crying when something goes wrong. His number one fear is failure. He mainly keeps quiet, unless he has something important to say. How will he achieve his dream?
Clemont: Ash's opposite in nearly every way, he is very active to the point of impatience. He isn't afraid to say what's on his mind. He is very good at nearly everything he tries. Though not egotistical, he's not above bragging every once in a while. He tries not to involve his dear sister Bonnie in most situations, and is quite protective of her. He can use magic.
Bonnie: She is very polite and well-mannered, often offering help to those who really need it. She can be pretty gullible at times. Some might consider her a pushover.
Serena: Ash Ketchum's childhood friend, she is very serious about her training. This bruiser isn't afraid to get down and dirty! She's abrasive and cocky when it comes down to it. Like Clemont (who she gets into frequent arguments with), she's not scared to call anyone out or say what she's thinking. She is insensitive, and loves to tease everyone (mainly Ash). She has a nickname for everyone.
Pikachu: This mischievous mouse gets itself (and the group) into many trouble with its wacky antics. It also runs away a lot.
Jessie: A lowly grunt of the "Heroes of Justice" organization, she has a bitter rivalry with the "perfect" Cassidy. She is really humble, but when Cassidy appears, the gloves come off! She doesn't care about her appearance, hence why her hair is shaped so oddly. It takes a lot to get her to lose control of her emotions, but when she does, her team members better watch out!
James: Another lowly grunt, and Jessie's co-worker, he is hardcore and manly. He is also very stubborn, not often willing to agree with Jessie and Meowth. However, he can be quite sweet at times. Has a rivalry with Butch.
Meowth: This talking cat Pokemon has a strong sense of honor. He loves to battle, and is very determined to win. He is quite a realist, not dreaming of anything beyond the expected. Before joining the Heroes of Justice, he had taken on many jobs, but was either rejected or fired from each one. Let's hope that this organization doesn't fire him anytime soon, or ever. On a lighter note, it seems to get stuck in trees all of the time.
Butch: He prefers to go by codenames, being ashamed of his birth name. James often calls him "Butch" to annoy him.
Cassidy: She's nice, sweet, caring, pretty, dainty, smart... and really just about everything else a boss could ask for. Isn't she the perfect little angel? Jessie doesn't think so.
Giovanni: The leader of the entire Heroes of Justice organization, he is very affectionate to all of his agents, often dismissing them early. He has his inner demons, but doesn't let anyone know; thus, he sends them on small missions to divert the attention away from him. He also spoils them from time to time, but doesn't let them forget he can fire them at anytime. Meowth and his Persian often fight for his affection.
Matori: The sweetest caretaker in the world, she is the one who pays for their finances. Giovanni's right-hand woman doesn't let Giovanni know of any of their failings. She seems to have replaced Domino.
Dr. Zager: A senile, old man who talks about what his life in the organization was life "back in the day", being all talk and no action. No one knows why Giovanni hasn't retired him yet.
Team Flare: Known better as "The Shooting Stars", they set out to make the world a better place. Their leader has a rivalry with Giovanni for his team taking all of the credit they "deserve".
MINOR MIRROR VERSE CHARACTERS:
Alain: His goal is to experience Mega Evolution, but doesn't actually work towards it -- he'd rather talk about it. He dotes over the cute Mairin.
Mairin: She is always looking before she leaps, as she was taught. She isn't particularly fond of Alain, mainly using him for protection. She plans to go off on her own once her Chespin fully evolves and/or she gets a full team.
Mietta: Haven't thought of it yet.
Officer Jenny: They can often be found relaxing on the job, but despite this, they are very good at their jobs... if they can get there on time. Taking on so many at once means that everything won't see their full abilities. However, they still have their share of accomplishments.
Nurse Joy: Nurses who put on a facade of niceness. The stress of seeing so many injured Pokemon can really get to a nurse after a while.
Misty: A sweet redhead who loves creepy bugs. She also has a fear of drowning. Won't stop blowing up the "Missed Calls" of Ash's Pokegear.
Brock: Every guy wants to be chased by girls and adored by them, right? Not Brock. He's completely repulsed by them. He is afraid of commitment. When his parents mysteriously disappeared, he was left to take care of things around the gym. However, he couldn't cook, clean, or do anything! After running out of money for all of his siblings, he left Forrest to take care of everyone and headed to Kalos, where he wouldn't be too well known...
Tracey: He is known for his quick temper, brashness and violent tendencies. He likes to draw, but isn't good at it, which frustrates him.
Dawn: She's yet another tomboy that could care less about her appearance. Being a total pessimist, she always finds something to worry about. Her catchphrase is some variation of, "How did I get myself into this?".
May: She is similar to Dawn, but the main differences are that she doesn't have a catchphrase, and she isn't afraid of anything or anyone. She often has to keep Max from running off or embarrassing himself.
Max: At first glance, this sunglasses-wearing kid seems like a moron, but actually, he has more smarts than he lets on. He really looks up to his older sister, and won't open up to anyone else.
Iris: Despite her rough appearance, she's actually feminine. She tries her hardest to be careful not to offend anyone, offering them a compliment instead. She also doesn't like to get dirty. Despite being an Ice-type specialist, she has a newly hatched Axew that is mature for its age. It's also developed somewhat of a resistance to Ice-type moves after spending so much time in the cold, at the cost of being more sensitive to Fire attacks.
Cilan: This antisocial, C-Class Connoisseur keeps to himself unless he is required to evaluate Trainer/Pokemon bonds in person. As his rank would imply, his Connoisseur skills leave much to be desired, and the same goes for his cooking and battling. He can't read people very well. He can often be found throwing pity parties. His brothers may or may not be invited.
Gary: He is modest and humble despite his talents, but doesn't particularly like work. He looked up to Ash for his ability to keep going in the face of hopelessness, and always cheered him up when he was down. When his grandfather tried to partake in his mad experiments, he ran away to Kalos like Ash before him.
Paul: He is a very strong trainer, and despite this, he encourages and compliments all of his opponents, no matter how weak they might be. His Pokemon are his family. At least 1/3rd of his team were rescued by his abusive older brother. His over-friendliness can be offputting to some people.
Trip: A polite kid that greets nearly everyone that he meets, he carries around a camera. He asks permission before taking pictures of people. After seeing everything that Unova had to offer, he went to... do I even have to say where? He might have a deeper reason for leaving Unova...
Bianca: She is very patient, always taking her time to appreciate her surroundings. She is neat and very organized, and also a bit of a bookworm. This girl is very competitive, which sometimes takes its toll on her Pokemon. Her rival is Paul. She always seems to avoid Ash for some reason...
