Hey- it is becoming a Goodra by the Lumiose Gym. It really is extremely fast. It is the fastest non-bug three stage evolution in the anime. And it is definitely evolving to Sliggoo in this one. We saw that confirmed by the episode summary

Gommy starting to evolve!!! Like usual Ash will tell: What's going on? And someone likely Clemon will responde: Goomy's evolving. Ash will check his dex and will be happy with newly evolved Sliggoo.

I hope it's just as badass as the past few evolutions. I really loved what they did with Keromatsu and Yayakoma, and I hope Numera doesn't disappoint.

Probably not. However they made few downfalls with evolution. Like in Torterra or Infernape mid evolutions.
